Roseola

Well... we've figured it out. Mama bear did a Google diagnosis today. And then I talked to our regular nurse back in Austin and pretty much confirmed what I thought.

Roseola.

The question now is, why didn't any of the ER docs or the pediatrician we saw on Monday suggest this as a possibility? Is it because the rash hadn't appeared yet? From all I've read - I know, I know, don't believe everything you read on the Internet - this is so common in Atti's age group.

Sigh. Well, let's just hope the daycare lets him stay tomorrow. He's not contagious. He might have been yesterday while he was there... or last week before the fever started, but he shouldn't be contagious now.
