Ultrasound Pictures

I did manage to get a new profile picture of me and the baby bump.... that will be added later tonight.

For now, I'll satisfy the Baby Baden updates with some new pictures of the little one. The first two pictures are from April 24 and my "Level 2" sonogram. There is a face and a profile face shot. The third picture is from a brief check-up with Dr. Seeker on May 12. You can really see Baby Baden's face and little pug nose!!

I'm not due for any more sonograms until 36 weeks ... about 6 weeks away. Hard to believe we're getting so close to the end! The third semester is definitely underway. All in all, I really feel great still. I'm starting to have some lower back pain if I sit or stand in one position for too long - but so far, if I keep moving (and rest often) life is good.

Now onto the pictures...

Oh Happy Day!

I'm a dork. I know this, so bear with me...

I have been a little concerned with all the storms here because some of my baby ducks (like they're really mine, hah) have been MISSING! I know! I was very concerned. Actually, I'm still a bit worried about the original 11 which seems to now be the original 3. I'm hoping the others relocated to a safer place...

BUT... I just saw a new momma duck with 5 teensy little baby ducks! These 5 are definitely newer than the 2 or 3 other babies that have been in the pond over the past couple weeks. These little guys are about the size of the babies in my other photos, while the originals are now most noticeably growing.

I must be on some sort of hormonal baby wave... but seeing the momma and the new babies just made my day! Yay for baby ducks!

Catching Up

Well... time flies. I owe you guys some pictures and updates. Unfortunately, Greg and I haven't taken any new profile shots in a while. It's on the To-Do list. We do have some new sono pictures, but I don't know how to work the scanner... so I'm patiently waiting until Greg turns in his paper tomorrow to bug him again about scanning in pictures.

In other news, Greg started his first internship today at Campbell Stevenson. I'm glad that this is the first part of the summer. I think it'll be a good jumping off point since the office and all the attorneys seem a bit more laid back than the "BIG" firms. The firm is located at The Domain, which is a new swanky outdoor mall of sorts. I'm hoping to make it up there one afternoon to check out The Steeping Room or to Vivo Chocolato! Figures that those would be the ones catching my eye at the moment, huh? We also have a gift certificate to Sur La Table that I'd LOVE to use. We need new knives - which is the sole reason the gift certificate was given...so we really need cash that in! Of course, I could also wander the Louis Vuitton store, MAC, the Apple store (for Greg), etc etc... So much window shopping to be done there!

Baby Baden updates... not much to report. Measurements at the last appointment still indicate a big baby. Based on the circumfrance of the head and abdomen - the estimated due date was 7/31/08 and based on the length of the femur bone the estimated due date was 7/26/08. A long legged baby! I would agree with that assessment only because Baby Baden is seriously wiggly lately and I swear I can already feel those long legs attempting to stretch out into my ribs and other vital organs. Tonight Greg and I are attending Baby CPR. I'm actually a bit nervous. We are soon going to be responsible for an entire life - just us! Yikes. Tomorrow I go in for my gestational diabetes test and to start discussing a birth plan. I truly don't know if a birth plan is necessary, but I think that it will open the door to discussions with the doctor about what we want out of our experience. I also think it'll be helpful for Greg and I to share our thoughts and make sure we're on the same page! Next up, research some local pediatricians and schedule some interviews. I'm hoping we can meet with 2 or 3 doctors and pick the one that best suits our needs before the arrival of Baby.

I've also started researching local moving companies. Oy. I'm both excited and dreading the move. I'm ready to be back in a house, but the thought of packing again is just not that appealing. I did hear a radio ad for a cool service called Eco Boxes. They buy and sell used moving boxes. What a great idea, huh? The other thing that has me a little nervous is all the wacky weather here in Austin. There has been a LOT of hail this year, and since we don't have a garage at the new house.... could be a bit scary. We'll check it out once there, and maybe we can build a car port or something? We'll definitely have to look into those car covers.

Happy 35th Wedding Anniversary to my parents...

And pictures are forthcoming....

Hello Baby!

Yikes... you can definitely see the change from week 24 to week 26. Baby Baden is making themselves known!
And because she's so darn cute... a picture of "lounge kitty". Sorry it's a bit blurry!
